Is Mother carrying Boyfriend / Lover child? Prenatal DNA Test can Tell
Paternity tests are being carried out by DNA laboratories on unborn children while they are still in the womb, enabling their mothers to abort them if they are the product of an extramarital affair. The service, known as a prenatal paternity test, is being used by hundreds of British women every year, according to one of the laboratories performing it. Most of the women opting for it have had affairs and are anxious to know whether the child they are carrying was fathered by their partner or their illicit lover.
Some DNA laboratories are refusing to perform the prenatal paternity test, insisting that it is unethical, a view echoed by pro-life campaign groups.
Invasive procedures are necessary for testing, raising the risk of a miscarriage and also posing a health risk to the mother. It is the latest ethical difficulty to hit the burgeoning business of private DNA testing. There are believed to be at least 20,000 tests carried out each year in Britain, with prices starting from as little as £99.
Academic research shows many fathers are right to be doubtful about their children’s provenance, with 1 in 25 unwittingly raising another man’s offspring.
Last week a court heard how Elspeth Chapman spent 17 years believing that an unrelated man was her father, only discovering his true identity in her mother’s diary. It was later confirmed through genetic testing.
To avoid such a situation, some women are resorting to invasive procedures to find out their child’s father. DNA Solutions, an international firm that claims to be the biggest provider of genetic tests in the UK, acknowledges that some of the women using its prenatal test — which costs upwards of £234 — will probably go on to have terminations if the baby is shown to have the “wrong” father.
Dan Leigh, marketing director for the company, said that they were performing up to 500 prenatal paternity tests in the UK each year. The practice is even more prevalent in the United States, where DNA Solutions also operates. “The prenatal paternity test is starting to grow,” Leigh said.
“The vast majority of clients for the prenatal paternity test have perhaps had an affair and the husband has found out about it and is demanding a test, or else she wants clarification of who the father is without actually asking her husband,” Leigh said. Unfortunately doctors were not able to stop the infection and she died in her struggle against the illness according to reports.According to News BBC, "Doctors were said to have amputated both her feet and her hands and removed part of her stomach in an effort to save her life.

How Do Satyam Executives Make Share Holder Poorer By 60 Millions ?
According to data, outgoing CEO and president Ram Mynampati sold 9.5 lakh Satyam shares (7 lakh Indian shares and 2.5 lakh ADRs) in 2008, when stock prices of the company varied between Rs 300 and Rs 500 per share. At these prices, Mynampati would have made around Rs 40 crore. Similarly, head of Regional Business Unit (RBU) Keshab Panda sold 7.1 lakh shares in 2008. Chief technical officer Pavan kumar Maddali sold 5.9 lakh shares. Most of these shares were acquired through ESOPs.
Out of 17 officials, four are members of the high level task force team, which was constituted just after Raju's admission of fraud. Besides Mynampati, the other three are Keshab Panda, Virender Aggarwal and SV Krishnan.
The company and the individuals, whose names are included in the list, refused to comment on this issue. According to published accounts, Satyam's operating margin was around 25%. Therefore, there is no reason for them to offload company unless they smelt a rat, said a senior investment banker.

Satyam, It's CEO and World Biggest Corporate Fraud Story
Ramalinga Raju, who did his MBA from Ohio University, is "a world-renowned visionary, global business leader and thinker... is passionate about developing leaders within his organisation...," proclaims Satyam's website.
Today, however, that vision has fallen apart. On Friday, January 9, 2009, Ramalinga Raju was arrested along with his brother for criminal conspiracy, forgery and cheating under Sections 120B, 409, 420, 468, 471 of the IPC.
Just two days before, on January 7, 2009, Ramalinga Raju, 54, stepped down as the Chairman of Satyam Computer that he founded in 1987, following financial wrong-doings to the tune of thousands of crores of rupees in the company.
It was a shocking revelation, when he disclosed that he has revealed some financial irregularities in the company, including an inflated cash balance of Rs 5,040 crore.
Raju made a last ditch attempt to cover the big hole in Satyam’s reserves by going for the Maytas buyouts. The play perhaps was intended to shore up Satyam's balance sheet with valuable infrastructure assets. But when the institutional investors opposed the deal, he was left with no option but to come out in the open. In October 2008, Ramalinga Raju said that Satyam had a cash pile of Rs 4,000 crore and could leverage it to muster another Rs 15,000-20,000 crore to aggressively pursue acquisitions. But hardly did anybody know the chaos that the company was already into at the time. The faith and confidence that appeared on the face of it, was too strong a cover to let the actual reality come to the fore.

Engineering Service Examination-2009
The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will hold the Engineering Services Examination, 2009 from 6th June, 2009 for recruitment to the approx. 566 posts of Indian Engineering Service. The Examination will be held at various centres across the country.
Eligibility:
- Age : Not less than 21 years and not more than 30 years as on 1st August, 2009. The upper age is relaxable for SC/ST/OBC and certain other categories of candidates to the extent specified in the Notice.
- Educational Qualification: Candidate must hold a degree in Engineering or equivalent. Provided that a candidate applying for the posts of Indian Naval Armament Service (Electronics Engineering Posts) and Engineer Group A in Wireless Planning & Coordination Wing/Monitoring Organisation may possess M.Sc.Degree or its equivalent with Wireless Communication, Electronics, Radio Physics or Radio Engineering as a special subject. Candidates who qualify on the results of the written part of the examination will be summoned for personality test.
- Physical Standards: Candidates must be physically fit according to the Regulations given in notice.
Application Form: The candidates must apply in the Common Application Form devised by the Commission for its examinations, which can be purchased from the designated Head Post Offices/ Post offices throughout the country against cash payment of Rs. 20/- only.
Fee: Rs.100/- through Central Recruitment Fee Stamp only. SC/ST/PH candidates are exempted from payment (OBC candidates required to pay full fee).
