BlackBerry Outage - BlackBerry Internet , EMail Service On Mobile Down

BlackBerry Internet service is down, leaving potentially millions of people without e-mail and other services.

The Blackberry outage means many people are having problems getting emails on their handsets.  It seems data, phone and other Blackberry services are working as usual with Blackberry email not working.

The problems are reportedly widespread in countries throughout the Americas, including the United States, Canada, Mexico, and Brazil. Some customers are receiving e-mails, according to reports, but with delays.

Verizon has confirmed its customers are having problems. Users on other systems, such as AT&T, are also experiencing problems, according to online forums. However, messaging systems, like text and voice, seem to be working for BlackBerry users.

Technical teams for Research In Motion, the company behind the BlackBerry, are, according to a statement, working on the issue.
